Pro-Book Institute
Sky of Stories Project
Reading has always played an important role in children's development. However, in Brazil, the reading rate among children is low, especially those who live in communities and receive no encouragement.
To help change this reality, the Pró-Livro Institute decided to transform these children's favorite game into a great incentive to read.
Hundreds of kites printed with children's stories covered the skies of the Santa Marta community in Rio de Janeiro, bringing reading to children in an unexpected and fun way.
Great writers such as Ziraldo, Benedito Rui Barboza, Pedro Bandeira, Ana Maria Machado, Roseana Murray, Silvia Orthof, Gustavo Vilela, Claudio Fragata and Fernanda Coelho donated their works to the project.
